Gob Nation is back with another release for DIY aficionados, sewer ninjas and art-punks. Fluid Tower is the new alias of Max Levy, the singer and songwriter known for his outsider pop project Garden Centre and punk band The Snivellers. Spread across three tracks, his debut "The Back" emcompasses emotive lyricism delivered over decayed rhythms and minimal instrumentals, which bring to mind Mount Kimbie's classic Maybes 12". It's a mutant pop record that's both dreamy and hopeful but also innocently sad and distant.
You can already pre-order "The Back" on tape here, and stream the titular track above. The whole EP will be available on January 20.
