Black Light District - Impossible

Black Light District has been steadily drip-feeding my Soundcloud timeline with new compositions, and "Impossible" is his latest. A melodic dark/synthwave single with romantic sensibilities. It makes me think of an imaginary '80s teen movie - where the goth outcast gets the girl and rides off on a motorbike into the night. Stream here.

Black Light District - Clock Sickness (Single Mix)

BLD dropped a new single a couple of weeks ago on Bandcamp. "Clock Sickness" may (or may not) be a sign of a new record, but what it is for sure is three minutes of gothic, post-punk flavoured darkwave. It actually made me wonder how would it sound with vocals on top? Get the single here.

Black Light District - The Gothic Collection

Black Light District has unleashed a new album written and recorded while living away from Kyiv. Recorded in Poland, "The Gothic Collection" is a darkly creature bursting with 80s goth nostalgia, blending darkwave, synth-pop, and post-punk among a number of other genres to form this contemporary retro-capsule of dark vibes. For fans of Curses, In Death It Ends and Sisters of Mercy.

Black Light District - California Reaper

Black Light District is back with a new single. "California Reaper" is a short and sweet coldwave jam with a catchy bassline and gothic charm. While at it, make sure to also check out this interview with The Gothic Moose, Stan shares some interesting insights on his background, inspirations and Ukraine. Recommended.

Black Light District - Black Light District II

Black Light District is a (fairly) new alias of Stan Przhegodsky, fka zxz. Shifting his sound from electro-industrial and synthwave-focused electronic music to more goth-rock and darkwave oriented, "Black Light District II" is a mammoth of an album, consisting of 25 tracks that feel like they're spanning decades' worth of styles and genres. And despite its one and a half hour length, the album feels both cohesive and engaging. One for the night riders and goth ravers.

You can buy BLD II here, and stream it in full below.
