Morgan Hall - Fuller's Teasel

It's been a year since we've had a new project from Greek noise wizard Morgan Hall, and the hot off the press "Fuller's Teasel" marks his 2025 comeback. Released on cassette by Austin-based label Breathing Problem Productions, the album feels like a fever dream from Apocalypse Now, full of anxiety, hallucinations, fear, pain and acceptance, all conveyed through a mix of dark ambient, power electronics and industrial noise. "The Foxgloves Are Nodding" will hauntingly drill into your consciousness, while "Mask Of The Botanist" deliver a calming dose of judgment day tranquility.

Gemengung / Morgan Hall - Earthen Remains Bloated With Decay

Released by the noise label Abhorrent A.D., "Earthen Remains Bloated With Decay" is a split tape by Greek experimentalist Morgan Hall and Texan (?) noise-maker Gemengung. It's an odd one, because my initial reason for checking out this project was the involvement of Morgan Hall. However, the opening walls of harsh destruction created by Gemengung caught me off guard, and any attempt to approach Morgan Hall's side also proved to be tough. To my surprise, over the last few months I found myself revisiting this split, and somehow I've grown to appreciate it. Gemengung's seven tracks evoke the image of a chemical spill consuming everything in its path. The way he skips between harsh noise on one track and more obscure, lo-fi noise sounds on another works for me, and gives a breather before the assault continues. Morgan Hall's part on the other hand feels more industrial, mechanical, buried under layers of signal drones that seem to blow up any time soon. This tape is definitely not for everyone, but as my noise music tolerance expands, I kinda dig it.

Cristian Usai / Morgan Hall - Permanent Hell 2 / Gemini 6A Launch Serial Number Locations

Sick Italo-Greek split tape from Philatélie label. Cristian Usai's side sounds like a journey through the abyssal zone of the ocean, dark and alluring. Blog's favourite Morgan Hall on the other hand serves three tracks of ominous dark ambient and electroacustic experiments. I'm a huge fan of Hall, but it's Usai's part (especially "Erotica Bizzarra") that captivated me the most. Great stuff.

Morgan Hall - Hormonic B.C.

I've been waiting for this release for months, even sice Morgan first announced it on his Instagram. "Hormonic B.C." is finally out, thanks to Bent Window Records. Consisting of six compositions, the EP will take you on a dystopian journey though dark ambient, power electronics and droney noise, painting vivid sonic pictures as you travel across the remains of the tracks. No wonder CRAVE and Hall announced a collaboration in the near future, you can hear how both artists inspire each other with their subjective takes on noise music and sound design. Amazing tape.

Morgan Hall - New Philadelphia

Radically dope power electronics and noisy drone from Greek producer Morgan Hall. Heavy shit that feels like going ice skating on sand paper.

Last tape is available here, otherwise you can stream the album below.
