Pellucid Crops - Concrete & Grapes

New batch of tapes arrived at the HQ of Bent Window Records, and this is the first album that I decided to check out. Pellucid Crops is a producer and musician from Slovakia, who debuted last year on Black Artifact with a electroacoustic drone-noise-ambient release "Pushing the Burden". His new cassette, "Concrete & Grapes", stays in a similar lane, though its two tracks stylistically differ from one another. "Man Made Maze" is a shoegazing drone soundscape with a hint of cinematic flair, whereas "Lights and Misery" veers towards noisier, harsher, more industrial territory. Perfect stuff for a nightcap.

Grab your tape here. Check out the album after the jump below.

Häxa Komät - Negative Dream Body Transference

I'm a huge fan of ritual ambient, and this one-track, 24 min+ release from mysterious Häxa Komät hits all the right spots. Released by Detroit's Unity Temple on CDR and Vancouver's Bent Window Records on tape, it's one for all the doom shamans, trippy witches and tribal drone aficionados. Kinds reminds me of early High Wolf and Pwin Teaks releases. Highly recommended!

Get your fix here for CDR, here for tape or directly from the artist for digital.

Morgan Hall - Hormonic B.C.

I've been waiting for this release for months, even sice Morgan first announced it on his Instagram. "Hormonic B.C." is finally out, thanks to Bent Window Records. Consisting of six compositions, the EP will take you on a dystopian journey though dark ambient, power electronics and droney noise, painting vivid sonic pictures as you travel across the remains of the tracks. No wonder CRAVE and Hall announced a collaboration in the near future, you can hear how both artists inspire each other with their subjective takes on noise music and sound design. Amazing tape.
