UZR is a "dark futuristic music project" from Copenhagen-based producer Christoffer Bagge. He composed and released not one but two albums this year, and "A Distant Glow" is an outtake from the first longplay "Post-Media". It's an amazing tune that takes me back to the UK post-dubstep era of the early 2010s mixed with modern post-witch wave in the vein of Holy Other, with a touch of cinematic worldcrafting a'la Nathan Micay. Listening to Ourobonic Plague's "Slow Pollination" brought to my mind that scene from Gravity, when the astronauts are hit be space debris, and Bullock's character spins helplessly into the void. Dark, gloomy ambient that will make you rethink your life tracjectory. Fucking A.

Harsh noise and death industrial rule the corrupted world in the universe crafted on "Where Beauty Lives in Memory" by Detroit-based musician Luminol. Layers of gritty aural elements clash and weave a harmonius chaos of sounds, resulting in an album that sucked me into its story from the get go. Brilliant.

"The Wanderer" is his latest longplay, recorded during a two week trip across the surrounding states (he's based in Kentucky). Outdoor psychedelia and rural sonic rituals are combined here to create a unique blend of ghostly ambient music that's somewhere between musique concrète, electroacoustics and occult channellings.
