Trashwave electronics mixed with hardcore '90s dance result in a record that could soundtrack a documentary about the European nightclub scene directed by Harmony Korine. A no-fucks-given album that's at the same time meticulously put together and overflowing with knowledge about music history (while also going completely against it). Keep away from children.

New album on Language Instinct, from its head honcho Greg Nunn. "Shaky Acoustics" is filled with crusty ambient soundscapes served on a platter of abandoned sounds and noises. Lots of personality was injected into this album, with tracks that could serve as a soundtrack to a morning stroll through an orchard or rummaging through forgotten chests filled with surprises in the attic.

Lover's Leap is an experimental musician from London, thriving in the death industrial, power electronics, and noise ecosystems. His new release "Above Us The Waves" just came out on Hibernian Leather, and it really hits the spot with its moody, slightly muted power electronics filtered through layers of tape hiss and reverb. Absolutely crushing sounds, 100% recommended!

While the gates of hell remain wide open, the stench of rotting cadavers perversely lingers in the air, filling the nostrils of reluctant passengers from the otherworld. Helplessly eyeing ways to escape from this infernal place their ears are gradually assaulted with the noises one can describe as hissing incantations. Imps and demons will feast tonight.
Natural Orthodoxy's opening composition that pairs the gloomiest death industrial landscape with Sylvia Plath's poem "Daddy" may be one of the most incredible songs I've heard in last few years. "Modernity" originally came out in 2016 under his previous moniker UVB-76, and it has finally received a physical reissue thanks to Bone Valley. Absolutely devouring and engulfing release, that hits even harder in the modern fascistic world.

"Pockets Of Interest" is a new album from the Nashville-based leftfield icon, probably his most distorted and grainy record to date. Slightly shifting away from hypnagogic new age and pivoting into shoegaze vaporwave, NMS shows he's open to exploring further edges of his lo-fi universe. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of this new record - something about it makes me quite anxious, and I lose attention after a while. Interestingly, this album has been pressed on vinyl, so don't sleep, as only 50 copies were made.

Minimal ambient folk album from Chaz Knapp, released by Aural Canyon. Inspired by the winter season, he delivers here ten songs that explore the season's impact on acoustic improvisation. While born out of cold, the music makes me feel quite warm and cosy, sort of total opposite to Ben Frost's "By The Throat", which one could argue also tackled similar setup. Give it a spin, great album.

I randomly came across Recrudescence a while ago on Bandcamp, back when only one track from this EP was available. "Humanity Is Frail" is finally out in full, and it's well worth sharing here because it's truly a solid release. A heavy, mutated sludge of noise overflows the speakers from the moment you press play - a thick tar consisting of industrial themes, post-club melodies and walls of gurgling noise. Big sounds for the end of times.
