Uma Musk is the latest alias of Swedish producer Robin Alexander Wikman, better known in the 2010s under his witchhouse name HOODOO. "Star City" is his debut album under the new name, embracing the 90s and 00s UK rave culture and mixing it with for the modern audiences. Junglist drums are paired with house keys and sped-up R&B vocal samples, creating a mix that resembles a bit Zomby's "Where Were You in 92", but with a more mainstream (in a good way) feel. Echoes of bassline wobbles, garage beats and dubstep-y bass are also present, giving the whole record a proper throwback feel and a tribute to the UK bass scene.
