Harsh R - Tired Of Living

Surprising neofolk/country offering from Avi Roig aka Harsh R. "Tired Of Living" consists of two pitch-black Americana bangers and six (mostly) acoustic compositions that thematically and stylistically match the others. The titular opener is a strong contender for my fav doom-and-gloom song of the year. A truly impressive side-project for Avi that brings to mind early days of King Dude.

Get the album here, each purchase will be passed on to Trans Lifeline. Stream all the songs below.

Runoti - Big Them

Runoti is the alias of Jet Shea, composer, singer and visual artist based in Scappoose, Oregon. Their new single "Big Them" is a minimal EBM-infused wobbly bass goodness that promoted the upcoming EP "Libra Moon". It's backed with an equally sick dark disco banger from Harsh R. Radical, cannot wait for the EP!

Harsh R - Seek Comfort

Harsh R is an experimental solo output of Avi Roig from Olympia, WA who released his music on New York Haunted and Reclusion Records in the past. His latest album "Seek Comfort", which premiered February 3rd, found its home at Phage Tapes and ended up being pressed on a limited edition vinyl. Described as "an album about disappearing and being disappeared", the LP is a noisy collage of post-industrial raw emotions, EBM-influenced beatmaking, synthpunk attitude, coldwave minimalism and dark synth-pop melodies. But it's the unexpected sax popping up in "Art You My People?" that steals the show for me. That being said, "Hiding Place" is such a banger, I've had it on repeat for days now, adrenaline shot. Make sure to also visit Avi's instragram page, his photos from various hiking excursions are just breathtaking.
