STRFLL Feat. Same Me - Night Vision // video

"

STRFLL's new single with Same Me is a freaking radical banger. Channeling CRAVE's delivery in the first half, STRFLL opens the track with a whispered grave-rap to the tune of sick witch house beat. The second half is owned by Same Me who drops a verse that takes me back to backpack era of 2000s, but with a British accent. So good!

Mig Inc - Bad Dream

Mig Inc's latest screwed album "Bad Dream", like the name suggests, does feel like a trippy and eerie fata morgana experience at the crossroads of dream and reality. Heavily slowed-down tracks will lead you into a trance with their sluggish tempos and dragged vocals. One for fans of early Phantasma Disques experiments and Black Zone Myth Chant's debut. The album was released in digital format, but there's also a pre-order open for a vinyl variant, which I assume will be very limited.

Silverelys - Purity Party

Silverelys is an enigmatic vocalist and producer from the depths of Soundcloud, who debuted a couple of weeks ago on Vertigo Cult with "Purity Party". The album, unlike any other project on the label so far, is a collection of beats from a plenthora of producers, perfectly arranged, compiled and sang on by Silverelys. Most of the time, their vocals can lull you comfily into hazy heaven, oscilating between shoegazing lo-fi feel, etheral lightweighness and delicate innocence. The production credits boast ten names who delivered a selection of amazing beats, ranging from straigh-on witch house bangers to ambient-adjecent soundscapes - all perfectly compiled into a cohesive record that feels like it was crafted from scratch by one visionary. So good!

John Thayer - Winds Gate

John Thayer, one half of the amazing duo YAI, returns to the Aural Canyon label with his latest solo record "Winds Gate". The press release accompanying the album makes numerous references to rivers and water to describe its mood and creative process. Yet after my first listen, my mind was instantly drawn to the titular element instead: the wind. While water, much like the record itself, is characterised by fluidity and currents, Thayer's airy, synth-led ambient soundscapes convey the weightless freedom found only in the open air. Listening to this at night on my headphones, the opening tracks immediately transported me to an almost empty amphitheatre just before a performance, as the audience gradually fills the space and the orchestra tunes their instruments; you can feel the magic is about to happen, and this subtle excitement, encapsulated in those tracks, feels like a special event on its own. Quite often, the journey, not the destination, is what matters and makes every moment special - "Winds Gate" will take you on an amazing trip.

Sadly, the tapes are sold out, but you can still grab the digital version here.

Sun Glitters - Traces

I feel like Sun Glitters has been around for ages, yet he still manages to engage me with his craft, both in terms of music and visuals. His new three track EP "Traces" revolves around the title track of the same name, which will eventually appear on his upcoming album. Sound-wise, this album would fall under the category of cinematic downtempo, however it also gives me a lo-fi beats vibe in the vein of Baths. Very cool and instantly catchy if you're into chill instrumentals.

Grab the EP here and stream after the jump.

Candle Ea†er x RAREPERSONA - Last St☆r Mall

Peak capitalism sold in a limited edition capsule stored in a VHS clamshell for that extra bit of nostalgia. Or you can call it "experimental mallsoft", like the two creators of this album do. "Last St☆r Mall" is a collaborative record between Canadian producers Candle Ea†er and RAREPERSONA. Channeling ghosts of retro past, they have delivered a zany, feels-familiar album of ten post-vaporwave joints that could work as intros for various TV shows from a non-existent '80s era. The vaporwave gimmick got boring to me a good while ago, but this is quite fun! Check it out.

Exsufflation - Ashes (Strfll Remix)

STRFLL steps up for remix duties, adding their special touch and distortion to Exsufflation's single "Ashes". The track originally appeared on his new album "Channel 0", which came out a few weeks ago (review coming soon!). Meanwhile, grab this sick remix here.

Intestines - Precious Moments

New haunded hip-hop joint from Intestines, this time on vocals only. "Precious Moments" was produced by Anvil, who remains a mystery - I couldn't find any info about him. You can download the track here. This track may appear on the new album.

YlangYlang - Skewed Fuck

YlangYlang is a name I haven't seen in a while. Her new EP "Skewed Fuck" just dropped on Bandcamp and I'm pleased to report it's a rather rad outsider-ambient project. I'm not even sure if that's a good way to describe it. It does have an outdoors feel, and the tracks have a nonlinear structure - they often feel fragmented, looped and heavily processed, with the final compositon "Drowned mandrake" almost verging on noise.

Check it out here and stream below.

STRFLL - Summer Drone

STRFLL's new drone single hits the same sweet spot as Enya "Orinoco Flow", slowed down 300%. Bliss with an edge, I just wish it was 8 minutes longer! Make sure to support here.

Humanfobia - Living In A Haunted House

This eerie EP from Humanfobia, released in collaboration with Bromtol Largesse, is an abridged capsule of their mammoth 20-track compilation released under the same title last year. I'm really pleased with what they've done here - by making the release shorter, it feels much more cohesive and manages to elevate their haunted, ambient world-building even further. The sound design is really good: minimal yet immersive, capturing the distinct atmosphere of a horror game OST. Recommended for late night freaks.

Stream it all below, and download the EP here.

Joseph Randolph - Errant Light, Constant Witness

Superb new single from Joe Randolph, "Errant Light, Constant Witness" has it all (multiple tempos, noise elements, cinematic synths, classic beats vibe, dope drops) and manages to sound cohesive and ill. Fantastic job with sound design and editing. DO NOT SLEEP on this one. Buy here.

Morgue File & Necroviolence - Self-Inflicted

Death is here, unlock the door. Morgue File and Necroviolence join forces and contribute tracks to this split CD released just a couple of days ago by the ever amazing Black Artifact.

A Large Sheet Of Muscle - A Painting Of My Daughter

Louis Johnstone is truly a bard of the post-internet era. This one-hour long album was composed for his latest NTS Radio appearance, and sonically it covers all the bases from Lou's musical past - from outsider art/digital folk hero to Dem Hunger warped beat abstractions to musique concrete and spoken word. Trip like no other.

Jardine - Sacred

Jardine sets up a fresh assault on our speakers with a new single "Sacred", promoting the upcoming album. Finding a sweet spot between nu-witch sound and noisemaxxing, the track drills itself into your brain the moment you lose your guard. The album is out in September, let's go.

Humanfobia - ≽^⎚⩊⎚^≼⨻🐈PRRRRarities🐈⨻≽^⎚⩊⎚^≼

A massive new compilation from Humanfobia has just made its way onto Bandcamp! Twenty-eight compositions, remixes, edits, rarities, and other oddities from the bottomless hard drives of Sabila Orbe, including manifestations of his solo projects. While dark ambient, witch house and electronic manipulations form the core of this aural behemoth, there are also echoes of deconstructed IDM, noise and weirdo synth experiments - obviously something every fan of Humanfobia's previous work should already be accustomed to. Roll the dice, press play and see where you end up.

Download the compilation here and steam it in full down below.

Powwoww - I Am One

When this single landed in my inbox, I had to do a double take - seeing Powwoww "back" wasn't on my bingo card for 2026. The "original" version of "I Am One" appeared on the 2011 split with Micro Naps. As the story goes, Erica made this bouncier version first, but then lost the working files for it. Since then she has remade it and it's finally out - and I must admit, it's way better than the split version. Make sure to support her by buying the track here.

Ye†axa - Angelical (2018/19 Demos)

Ye†axa is an English singer and producer who debuted on Phantasma Disques in 2015 with an expanded edition of her first EP. "Angelical (2018/19 Demos)", as the title suggests, brings us a collection of six tracks recorded over the period of two years, in between her other projects. Like her previous musical endeavours, this release is rooted in a witchy bedroom pop that is situated somewhere between Nicole Dollanganger and Myspace-era Kendra Malia. The backing sounds are quite minimal and melancholic, bringing to mind a Lolita-cosplaying Grouper or Lake Radio circa 2010/11. Ultimately, it's a short, sweet compilation of outtakes that should appeal to all fans of mellow and lo-fi music.

Hipdiebattery - Lost & Found

Hipdiebattery is the moniker of Bucharest-based producer and singer Anca Stirbacu. I have to admit that although I was aware of her presence, thanks to the excellent 2012 compilation Robot Elephant vs Tundra Dubs, I had never really explored her music deeply. That's why when "Lost & Found" landed on my radar last year, I decided to finally give her a go. The 13-track collection is essentially a compilation of sonic fragments, demos and textures hoarded away over the years, waiting for the right time to resurface. Music-wise, think of a place on an ethereal pedestal located within the wide spectrum of witch-house. Her selection of distant, ghost-pop vocals and downtempo soundscapes is less an invitation to play with an Ouija board and more of a comforting exploration of dark and hazy afterparty chill rooms. This should appeal to fans of the early, haunted SLEEP ∞ OVER tapes and Italian dark-wave icon Mushy. Recommended!

The album is out now on digital formats and as a super-limited cassette. Grab both here, and stream the whole thing down below.

Patina Lush / Primitive Gauze - Grail

Gnarly split from the exponentially expanding Hibernian Leather catalogue. Patina Lush comes through with a trifecta of rich, drone-heavy compositions set against a backdrop of dense layers of ambient sound. While "Flood Plain Chimera" and "One Hundred Body Incense" feel crushingly dystopian in their overwhelming presence, "Wind Paints The Orchard" lets you contemplate the void slowly consuming the last remnants of daylight. The 19-minute run of Primitive Gauze's "Red Kite Yellow Hammer" is a case study of drone metamorphosis, evolving from an industrial constant into a dark ambient-tinted noise soundscape. Experiencing this at night with headphones is an absolute must, amazing stuff.

"Grail" is out now on limited edition tapes, available here. Stream down below.

Vear - The Church Of Flesh And Bone

Vear has finally released a follow up to last year's excellent Blair Witch-inspired album. "The Church Of Flesh And Bone" dives deeper into the death industrial realm, embracing horror ambient and ritual drone. There was an album by CRAVE from a few years ago called "Save Room", dedicated specifically to in-game save rooms. Vear's record is a full-blown walkthrough of a horror game - one you can't, and won't want to pause. Eerie soundscapes for the dystopian temple of doom. Kneel and pray for redemption, death is at the door.

Feral Agathist - Fast Tines

Feral Agathist returns with a new offering of experimental tape manipulations. Backed by Rob Micalchuk's saxophone on "Good Tines", we get a sample of anti-jazz abstractions spiraling into a whirlwind of psychosis through a mix of musique concrète and loop manipulations. It's both feral and beautiful. "Bad Tines", on the other hand, veers towards an even more randomised universe of sound - one that somehow manages to roll forward, taking the listener on an alien trip of skipping late night cable TV channels on mushrooms.

Strap on and download the album here. You can stream both parts after the jump.

Mt Borracho - Artitix

Mt Borracho marks his comeback with this short, ritualistic piece "Artitix". Listening to it makes you feel like a detached spectator of a Mayan ceremony visited by an alien ship. Cop the track here, and fingers crossed there's more to come!

STRFLL - Rebirth

"Rebirth" is a new EP from STRFLL, consisting of four remastered and reworked "oldies". All the tracks gained extra flesh on their bones, making them sound richer, more layered and noisier - rad stuff. Glad to hear "Doin Better" getting a second life, it's a banger that sort of went unnoticed at the time. If I had a car I'd definitely put this on my permanent rotation.

Dancing In Slow Motion - I Cry Out 2 U

Dancing In Slow Motion is back at it again, with a selection of eight, dark and eerie joints that could've crawled out of a long-lost 2008 SALEM folder. Sludgy beats and haunted synths carry this album from start to finish, occasionally enhanced with murky vocals. One could make a case for flying close to the sun here, but this music is really good, catchy, and leaves you wanting more. Dance to it at a funeral parlour, the ruins of a forest church, or a crypto convention to confuse the fuck out of everybody. Witch house rules, and so does "I Cry Out 2 U".

Get the album here, and peep all the tracks below.

Ourobonic Plague - Land Marks

Ourobonic Plague's new single "Land Marks" starts like an on og dubstep tune with a deep, muffled bass before morphing into a deconstructed horror-jungle beast. Broken beats for broken souls. Grab it here. OP's new EP "G.A.: Seven: Convergence" coming soon!
