Los Angeles-based electronic post-punk trio Automatic (Izzy Glaudini on synths and lead vocals, Lola Dompé on drums and vocals, and Halle Saxon on bass and vocals) have dropped their sophomore album today. "Excess" is released via Stones Throw and consists of ten spaced out post-punk jams, that manage to channel psych rock trippiness and at the same time maintain serious pop appeal. It's an album that feels like a journey through three decades of music, with its hippie charm and 70s rebel attitude, both immacutalely injected with 80s kitschiness on their fringes. This one will make you dance at parties and in your rooms. Love it.
The album is out on vinyl in a variety of formats that can be pre-ordered here or if you're based in the UK from Rough Trade. Stream below.
