STRFLL - To Black / Down

Image

STRFLL covered not one, but two singles from Ritualz, and the result couldn't be better! "To Black" was the lead single from the 2018 album "Doom", while "Down" was originally released on the outtake LP "Gloom". STRFLL vocals make both edits sounds darker and more sinister - "Down" in particular sounds eerie as fuck, like a soundtrack for vampire hunting. You can stream both tracks here, but I hope they will appear on Bandcamp soon.

Shlohmo - Chore Boy Feat. Salem // video

"

Lead single from Shlohmo's new album "Repulsor", which came out today (the album, not the music video). I haven't had a chance to check the longplay yet, but it should be a solid record. The SALEM-featuring track is ok, but to be honest sounds like a off-cut from "Fires In Heaven". Great video though.

Dead Hands - Ode To Geri

Dead Hands is one of my favourite new artist names, so I'm checking out all his new stuff by default these days. "Ode To Geri" is a three track noise pill, that will drill itself into your psyche if you let it loose unattended for a while. Featuring screams and shouts, the EP will not let you fall asleep until you repent for your sins in your mind. Or you can just call it sonic zombie apocalypse. Fucking ace.

Check it out here, and stream it below.

[lyn] - Dreamaturgie

"Dreamaturgie" is the latest EP from experimental French producer and vocalist [lyn]. Inspired by theatre, the release can be experienced as a three-act piece and an intermission at the end, with each chapter exploring a different genre. Acid techno, playful house, and droning ambient soundscapes showcase the range of their author, while the 14-minute closing track "Dialogue" offers a glimpse into the eclectic club sound curated by [lyn] - uniquely coloured by his signature Gregorian chants.

Buy the album from the label here, or directly from [lyn] here. Stream below.

OKKVLT KΛTT - Aon Ní // video

"

Pepsy cooked this lo-fi, grainy, red-themed music video for Katt's single "Aon Ní", lifted from his last year's album "Mo Áthas". The album will (finally) get a physical release thanks to the Séance crew, hopefully before the end of the year.

Aesop Rock - I Heard It's A Mess There Too

Surprise and free album from Aesop Rock? Yes, please! Well, free-ish, it was available for a couple of days, before the files were replaced with 'buy now' link. "I Heard It's A Mess There Too" is fun, approachable and surprisingly catchy. It takes me back to the backpack rap era - not the Def Jux style, but rather the more funky, boom-bappy hip-hop. Apparently the whole project started off as a one-line that couldon't leave Ian's head, and slowly evolved into this fully fleshed out project. Dope.

The Implicit Order - Ember In The Dark

Image

The Implicit Order kills on this one. "Ember In The Dark" starts as a creepy, lo-fi harsh noise wall, and half way through evolves into an angelic ambient theme before coming down crashing into the noise dirge from the beginning. Not sure if this will be re-released somewhere at the later date, but you can stream it here.

Human Hollow - Eraser

"Eraser" is Human Hollow's new horror-themed EP that came out just a few days ago. I blogged about the singles "Playind Dead" and "Delgado" a while back, so it's great to get the full set all in one place. The dark, season-appropriate themes fit the music - HH's sound is more gothic and EBM-flavoured, which matches the lyrics and delivery. The opening song "Puppy Love" should be a total jam for all fellow 80s slasher fans!

Buy the EP here and stream it in full down below.

Ourobonic Plague - Verdegoria: A Green Annex Meditation

"Verdegoria: A Green Annex Meditation" is Ourobonic Plague's latest long-form sound sculpture. Built from marbled ambient textures, Nick manages to capture the full spectrum of the genre - from cosmic drone, through dark and gloomy ambient and bass, to more cinematic synth soundscapes. Check it out here.

Scattered Purgatory, Dis Fig - Diaspora

Now this is a collab I wasn’t expecting to see - Taiwanese drone-rockers Scattered Purgatory have enlisted Dis Fig's vocals for their new doomed trip-hop single "Diaspora". It sounds like the intro to a nu-metal track that's evolved into a fully fleshed-out song - I know it may sound odd, but it actually works. You can stream and buy the track here.

Melancholic Crossroads - Alice In The Mirror

The new EP from Melancholic Crossroads "Alice In The Mirror" is giving serious Aural Sects vibes. Think Peachblack and Spell Hound, heavy dancefloor-leaning potentialm returining to the house in witch-house.

Morgue File - 01-12

Morgue File's "01-12" compiles the first three cassette demos, originally released via his bandcamp in 2023. This collection serves as a perfect introduction to Daniel's morbid ambient and minimal noise electronics. Best consumed at night, on headphones, and in one sitting. Incredibly atmospheric death music.

Stream the whole collection below, and cop the digital version here.

Candle Ea†er - ||Praxis||

"||Praxis||", the new album from Candle Ea†er may be his best one so far. The record opens with the dark ambient track "Sleep", which serves as a dystopian scene-setter for the huge industrial-techno anthem "Obsidian Blood" that follows - that injection of sonic adrenaline is simply amazing. As we reach the middle part of the album, starting with "Hollows", the mood shifts towards more possessed and horror-inspired sound, really fleshing out the witch-house style that channels Dario Argento's films. "Praxis" doesn't stop there though - it constantly evolves as tracks move from one to another, rotation tempos, subgenres and moods. This one will definitely have a lot of replay value going forward. Recommended!

Cop the album here and stream all the tracks down below.

Animal Lust - You Are Not Welcome Here

New offering from Animal Lust is a study of primal instincts told through industrial noise, power electronics and harsh noise wall. Occasionally featuring ungodly samples, the album is a fucking wrecking ball to one's peacefull evening. Raw and loud.

Pure Bliss - Stay

Image

Beauty and Loneleff dropped their first single as Pure Bliss a few months back and then went quite for a while. Luckily, yesterday "Stay" dropped unnanounced, and made me hyped up again for their collaboration. Although the track is super short and in a way feels like a build-up before something bigger, it's still a pure bliss to listen the them two. Love it. Stream here.

New Mexican Stargazers - Live 10-6-25

Brand new live album from NMS, released as a free gift to all Bandcamp subscribers. If you follow his account, you should have acces to the community section, where Carter is sharing download codes for it. It's a lo-fi collage of sounds from across the sonic universe, rooted in his vapor-psychedelia. Because the album is "hidden", I cannot link it here for streaming.

Hemorrhage Therapy - Vessel

Hemorrhage Therapy duo are back with a 20-minute long noise mayhem, split across two tracks released on cassette tape. Side A delivers harsher, more in-your-face power electronics noise - mindfuckery without borders or rules, pure hardcore. Side B on the other hand, channels a calmer harsh noise wall that contrasts nicely with the previous experience.

Stream the EP (?) below, and cop the tapes here. I was told only 23 copies were made.

Osaki Seiichi - In The Footsteps Of A Lost Book Hidden In The Jungle Temple

Osaki Seiichi is an ambient composer from Japan, whose previous album "The Tale of a Long Forgotten Sunken City" enchanted me with its alluring underwater themes. Just a couple of days ago, his second record, "In the Footsteps...", was released on Bandcamp, taking the listener on a hiking journey through Japanese hills and valleys, populated by delicate ambient soundscapes and nature-based field recordings. While it may not be as strong as its predecessor, this album still offers a soothing pampering session for the mind. Enjoy.

Download the album for free here.
