The album is a 47-minute trip through the forgotten corridors of an Atlantean temple - lo-fi, ambient psych sounds will guide you through this epic collage of retro-futuristic sounds. Amazing stuff.

New Mexican Stargazers - Live 10-6-25

Brand new live album from NMS, released as a free gift to all Bandcamp subscribers. If you follow his account, you should have acces to the community section, where Carter is sharing download codes for it. It's a lo-fi collage of sounds from across the sonic universe, rooted in his vapor-psychedelia. Because the album is "hidden", I cannot link it here for streaming.

New Mexican Stargazers - Thermal Narrative Report

NMS returns to my speakers with "Thermal Narrative Report", a self proclaimed 'culmination of everything (he) wanted to do with this alias'. Heavily based on sampling and tape manipulations, the album delivers a familiar dose of post-internet psychedelia - this time with a more pop-leaning spin, which makes the record sound like vaporwave on acid. I love it.

This may be the ugliest cover art you'll see today, but NSM and Stardustinmotion delivered some serious spaced out tones for this Bandcamp Friday. Their self-titled split features New Mexican Stargazers delivering his usual (and always excellent) strain of new age psychedelia, while Stardustinmotion serves a calm-down dose of zoned-out ambient. Great stuff.

Part Sun Araw, part James Ferraro, his eclectic post-vaporwave take on lo-fi electronica is just perfect. Highly recommended trip music.

New Mexican Stargazers - Return 2 White Sands Arcade

New hypnagogic offering from the arcade champion New Mexican Stargazers. "Return 2 White Sands Arcade" is an eight tracks-deep trippy, lofi ode to the myspace-era music, where proto-vaporwave psychedelic tones and abstract electronic mutations reign. Can't go wrong with this one, if you loved previous NMS stuff, then this new album will be your new best friend. New Mexican Stargazers - Aqua Temple

While "Aqua Temple" came out back in January last year, a couple of months ago NMS decided to start taking pre-orders for a vinyl reissue of this album. To celebrate his birthday today, he lowered the price of the record to 18 bucks for one day only, and if that's not a sweet deal for an independently released slab of wax then I don't know what is. The record consists of two 17-minutes long odysseys through crystal clear synth oceans, supported with glimmering drones on side A and low fidelity tribal beats of the lost epoch on side B. Music to chill and meditate.

NMS is back with a new album entitled "Motel Room Thunder", where worlds of hypnagogic drones, lo-fi loops and vaporwave nostalgia collide. It's like the ultimate ride down the childhood memory lane, a soundtrack to those drowsy Saturday mornings in the 90s, sitting in front of a TV waiting for your fav cartoons to start. New Mexican Stargazers - Subterranean Flash Game

I wrote about NMS a couple of weeks ago, and soon after that he dropped this incredible new tape filled with new age jams on his bandcamp. "Subterranean Flash Game" is, according to its description, a tribute to Adobe Flash, a staple of every kid who spent hours playing games in the early to mid 00s. The album combines psycho-tropical soundscapes and new age synths, emanating some serious hypnagogic vibes that will you make you float for hours.

New Mexican Stargazers - Highway Dreamscape

Latest album from the enigmatic producer New Mexican Stargazers, who's been steadily dropping obscure new age jams since 2018. "Highway Dreamscape" is his Not Not Fun debut, a trippy ode to cruising at night that smoothly blends hypnagogic pop, lo-fi synth music and interplanetary psychedelia, reminiscent of those classic Hype Williams LPs and proto-vaporwave from James Ferraro. This sounds like a tape Fox Moulder would pick up at some forgotten gas station during one of those Monster of the Week X-Files episodes.
