Textbeak - Entropy Lock feat. Antoni Maiovvi

Mike Textbeak is set to release his new album "Asemic Musick" via Detroit Industrial on 5 December, and I'm happy to present the second single promoting the project. "Entropy Lock" sits on a liminal edge between minimal industrial and dark electro, and features guest vocals from Antoni Maiovvi, who has appeared on the pages of this blog under many of his producer guises. Antoni was actually kind enough to share a few thoughts about his lyrics: "While I can never say for sure where songs come from, people who have met me will know me to be quite a jovial person in real life, but for some reason the vast majority of the songs I’ve written have been fairly to very dark. I also don’t want to misdirect anyone from being able to project their own thoughts and feelings and interpretations on my words, but in order to not go full David Lynch and explain nothing, I will say that the central theme could be interpreted as: change." "Asemic Musick" follows up the 2021 remix LP "Sick For Songs A Season Eats Remixes" and delves into themes of confusion, chaos and magick in the current zeitgeist. You can pre-order the album here.

Votives - Possessor

Votives, the newly formed collaborative project of Hyetal and Antoni Maiovvi, announce their upcoming EP with the single "Possessor". It's a rad fusion of their signatures, merging brooding post-dubstep atmospheres with pulsing EBM-tech rhythms. Future classic. The EP will be released in CD format on Amsterdam-based label Insult To Injury Records.

Giallo Disco is 10 years old! I still remember when Anton and Gianni launched it, and seeing it grow to become one of the cult underground labels of the 2010s and beyond has been amazing. To celebrate this anniversary, they dropped a free compilation of some of the best horror disco, italo and synthwave cuts from the past decade. We get tracks from both founders, plus Tom Guycot, Unit Black Flight, DKMD, Taylor Hoodlum Stevenson, WLDV and Mr Eff. If you're not familiar with their catalogue yet, now's the best time. Textbeak - Sick For Songs A Season Eats Remixes

Textbeak, probably one of the busiest electronic music DJs out there, has just premiered a new album full of remixes of tracks lifted from his debut longplay from 2018 "Sick For Songs A Season Eats". I haven't had a chance to give it a proper listen yet, but the list of guests looks really impressive: Antoni Maiovvi, Adrian Smith (Click Click), Jeremiah Meece (VALIS, The-Drum), Satanic Hispanic, Mark Stewart (The Pop Group) and Mater Suspiria Vision among many others. Expect industrial club, mutant techno, gothic coldwave, witch-punk and everything in between.
