Shhadows Ft. Vienna Vox - Under Your Spell (Live Remix)

I'm quite surprised I've never properly blogged about Shhadows here (had to double check it). Jason Timothy's main project has been one of my fav post-witch house/dark electro acts in the recent years, in particular his incredible first EP "Renewal". "Under Your Spell (Live Remix)" is actually a remix of his cover of Desire's hit from the movie "Drive". The original cover from Shhadows was on his debut record for Re:Mission Ent (you can download it here), and now, three years later, we get a newly remixed version of this masterpiece. Vienna Vox - The Void

Here's another surprise release from Vienna Vox. "The Void" was recorded with her frequent collaborator Jason Timothy (aka Shhadows) who took care of production and arrangements. The track brings to mind the ethereal songs of Sleep Over and lo-fi pop of early-days' Grimes. Great stuff. Buy it here.

Vienna Vox & Analog Tears - Feverish

New single from Vienna Vox has been described on her page as a dark, seductive shoegaze track, and it pretty much nails it. A groovy dream-pop joint was produced by Seattle-based musician Analog Tears, and it manages to capture the vibe of the 60s and 70s. Total jam that grows on you with every listen.

Vienna Vox

Vienna Vox is a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, who debuted last year on the "Renewal" EP from Shhadows, in his cover of Desire's "Under Your Spell". I've been following her since then, hoping for some more music, ideally in an album form. Currently, her bandcamp has two more tracks, both featuring minimal, eerie compositions crafted by Shhadows and ethereal vocals from Vienna. One to watch.
