"Nothing" is the new single from Ritualz, promoting his upcoming double album "Forever", which celebrates the 15-year anniversary of the project. The record is scheduled for 18 July, and will be released by Re:Mission Entertainment. Ritualz not only hand-picked 20 singles spanning his entire career, but also re-recorded every one of them, breathing new life into the classics such as "Baba Vanga" and "Third Eye Sixth Sense". The album will also include two brand new tracks - "Nothing" (a crossover between the sounds of "Outworld Music" and "Doom") and yet-to-be-released "Testify". You can preorder the album on 2CD here.
Fourth and final maxi-single from Ritualz, released ahead of his new album "Mimic" that will come out on February 21 via Re:mission Ent. "Falling Away From Me" is one of Korn's most recognisable singles, and turning it into even more badass joint. As usual with his releases, JC provides a slowed down and sped up versions, as well as an instrumental. Cop it while it's hot!

The S&S and Suffer Ring collabroation video single, edited by E_DEATH, is as good as one may expect. Chiptune electro sound brings to mind CC productions, while the vocals sprinkle some of that Crim3s-like magic. Salem's VHS fuckery makes the whole thing 10x better. "Book Of Miracles", the fourth album from Suffer Ring is their strongest offering yet, further crystallizing the band's unique sound and cementing their position in the dark electronic scene. Inspired by Book Of Miracles, a 16th-century manuscript from Augsburg, Germany, that mirrors spiritual beliefs and fears of its time, the album's songwriting is reflecting visceral emotions lurking in the shadows of modern America. Sonically, Suffer Ring manages to come across as both familiar and experimental in their sound design. In some respects, it's tempting to label "Book Of Miracles" as witch house, however concealed under this shroud is a record bursting at the seams with dark electro and rave-clash energy, paying respect to a plethora of various underground micro-scenes that shape it. The album is packed with potential future classics ("Incel", "Lacerate" and "Victim" are some of my favourites, the latter co-produced by E_DEATH), but I have to admit that Ferngazer stole the show on "Jahil", and the "Not In Love" cover is executed to perfection. With "Book Of Miracles", Suffer Ring reaffirms their appreciation for dark electronic sounds approached in new ways. Give it a spin!

A bit of an off-topic start: there’s an indie netlabel/project called Pumpkin Boy, which gathers musicians from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to create a yearly Halloween-themed compilation called "Songs of the Pumpkin Boy". These albums are all over the place stylistically, yet they capture a distinctive vibe that came to mind the moment I hit play on this new single from Dracula Party (Byron C. Miller and Chris Schism). "Trick Or Treat 2" the name, and slasher synthwave is the game. Fun track, it's a shame I came across it so late though! Download the single here.

I'm quite surprised I've never properly blogged about Shhadows here (had to double check it). Jason Timothy's main project has been one of my fav post-witch house/dark electro acts in the recent years, in particular his incredible first EP "Renewal". "Under Your Spell (Live Remix)" is actually a remix of his cover of Desire's hit from the movie "Drive". The original cover from Shhadows was on his debut record for Re:Mission Ent (you can download it here), and now, three years later, we get a newly remixed version of this masterpiece. Re:Mission Entertainment has been on a steady path to become one of my fav labels specialising in industrial, EBM and witch house since they launched a few years ago. On December 23rd they dropped their new "sampler" compilation, showcasing their talent and some of the best cuts from their recent and forthcoming releases. My personal favourites are Bara Hari, Dead Voices On Air x Snowbeasts, Black Agent, Mentallo & The Fixer, Sidewalks and Skeletons and SØLVE. Incredible music that channels past, present and future, it's a perfect starting point for anyone hoping to discover and dig into Re:Mission catalogue. Last year's reissue of "The Negative" from SØLVE put him back on the map and I feel like it gave him a great boost to set the stage for his sophomore album "Earth Inferno". Promoted by a maxi-single "Never + Enough" a year before, the record finally dropped in June this year via Re:mission Entertainment and it's a blast. Following the footsteps of "The Negative", it's a triumph in building haunting atmospheres and gloomy melodies through meticulously arranged drums, keys and vocal delivery (which sounds crispier and more powerful than ever before). The lead single ""Never + Enough" in particular is an addictive gem that sounds better after each replay. Industrial meets cinematic sound design, I'm sold.

I've been putting off checking out Sidewalks & Skeleton's latest album for months now, and man I'm glad I finally did. "Exorcism", released like his previous three projects by Re:Mission Entertainment, is probably Jake's best album so far. It's a perfect collage of mainstream-leaning witchhouse, that heavily draws from synth-pop, dark electro/chiptune, trap, industrial techno and even phonk. For everyone who liked but (rightfully so) cancelled Mr.Kitty and Crystal Castles, this LP will be a blast, as the echos of their styles definitely define some the album's most pop-friendly hits.

First single from the upcoming album "Earth Inferno" from SØLVE. The LP is set for June 7 release via Re:Mission Entertainment (pre-order here), and will come out in digital format as well as limited edition CD and cassette. Check out my review of his previous album "The Negative" which got re-issued last year.
SØLVE is a solo project of the musician, producer and mastering engineer Brant Showers, half of the cult duo ∆AIMON. Thanks to Re:Mission Entertainment, his debut LP "The Negative" got a reissue treatment two days ago, being remastered and released on CD and (for the first time) cassette tape. Originally issued on French label Audiotrauma in 2016, the album’s core template is a gritty post-industrial sound that morphs throughout "The Negative" by sourcing elements from Brant's signature witch-house beats, unsettling dark ambient, cinematic sound design and noisy drone. It’s a retrospective project that’s both beautifully brutal and strangely captivating. I feel like "The Negative" needs time to grow to fully appreciate it and gets better with each listen, revealing new intricacies along the way (especially with the new remaster).
