STRFLL - Summer Minimix

Summer is just around the corner, one can think that's the reason why I stopped posting regularly. Truth is, I've had no internet at home for two weeks now, so my blogging got reduced to whatever I manage to put together after work at the office. Luckily STRFLL makes it easy for me with his new short and sweet mixtape collecting some of his latest productions and remixes, and combining them with sick tunes from Dirtr4t, SALEM, and Burlapper. Cult Member - Moncler Monster

Canadian producer Cult Member returns with a new single "Moncler Monster", that explores lo-tempo post-dancehall motifs, steering more towards Palmistry and DJ Python territories instead of lo-fi house that may be normally associated with his sound. Grab the track here.

MITH-XX & Exome - At The Gates Of Death

Power electronics and hellish noise dominate this transatlantic collab ablum from Exome and Mith-XX. "At The Gates Of Death" was released in April by Black Artifact. Soundtrack to a session with a medium possessed by a demon.

Pvty Kerry - NonGrasping

Pvty Kerry dropped a new release a few weeks ago, it took me a while to delve into it, but better late than never. "NonGrasping" consists of three tracks that sit on the hip-hop leaning outskirts of the witch house sound. Slower tempos, gloomy soundscapes, processed vocals - all form a great counterbalance to waves of EDM mediocrity pumped by some channels. Pvty has been at the frontline of the witchy, dark underground for over a decade now, and there's no stop button in sight.

Fiesta En El Vac​í​o & Helen Island - Atarraya

First collaborative EP from French/Argentinian singer Luna Maria Cedrón (Fiesta En El Vacío) and French producer Helen Island (also known as Trigger Moral). "Atarraya" brings to mind the latin Bala Club collective, minimal works of Palmistry and pop appeal of Rosalia. Mellow post-dancehall vibes.

Spirit Shrine - Thirdfl00r

Spirit Shrine is a witch house artist from Seattle, Washington. Their latest album "Eaten Alive By The Perfect Lover" came out last month, but it's the track "Thirdfl00r" that didn't make the cut there is the one I want to share here first. It sounds like something that crawled out of 2010 blogspot-era. Spooky joint that merges dark ambient mood with low-key trap beat and melancholic synth line. Grab it here.

Crave - Recoil

Came across this well-hidden EP from CRAVE that apparently is available only on Japanese Amazon store. You can stream it on SC though. Wild. Lockpicking music, as per cover art, anxious beats and evil soundscapes.

Kutmah - Digital Transit Blackout

The man, the legend, Kutmah is back with a new beattape that landed on Bandcamp a couple of days ago. And what a treat it is. There's a wonderful backstory that goes with "Digital Transit Blackout" on the page, so peep it here. Ruff styles and gritty beats guaranteed (but then there's also this tropical remix of MF Doom's "Meatgrinder", so there's that). Dopeness.

RODA - A Sea Of Mirror Carpets

RODA is the new collaborative project from two experimental musicians Ross Scott-Buccleuch and Daniel Vujanic. Their album "A Sea Of Mirror Carpets" got picked up by Moonside Tapes and it totally bewitched me. Droning soundscapes interact and intersect with ambient motifs and field recordings, creating an impression you're listening to a nature documentary soundtrack. This is easily my fav releases from Moonside since their Background Character tape. Get it!

Nexus_0 - Pure Luv

Second official single from London's Nexus_0 "Pure Luv" sees the band continue their tek-punk journey. This track sounds like it's been baked with the idea of rescoring "Matrix" in mind - incredible. Support here.

STRFLL aced yet another cover, this time SALEM's 2010 classic "Killer". The original fuzzy instrumental got polished here, but the vocals on the other hand got grittier and more raw. Great stuff. Download and support here.
