Vascha - Magna Cvnta

Blogging in reverse, but bear with me. Vascha's "Magna Cvnta" EP came out last December, followed a month later by a dragged remix version "Slow Trip", which I mentioned here. A few days ago, Adam sent out an email announcing a very limited CD edition of the EP, compiled with another project of his—"Shockmuzik (I)". All that being said, I really recommend checking out this 3-track gem, especially if you're into mixing harsh witch house and deconstructed club sounds. The EP consists of three tracks that are actually covers/remixes of German gregorian new age duo Magna Canta. Get them while they're there!

Cop the CD here, and stream the release down below.

Vascha - Earthly Delights

"Earthly Delights" is the second single from VASCHA's upcoming album, inspired by the Garden of Earthly Delights painted by Hieronymus Bosch. Neo-future hyperclub joint, one for Yen Tech fans. Vascha will play a live gig in London on June 18th, looking forward to see them there! Buy here.

Vascha - Shockmuzik (I)

Vascha kicks off 2024 with "Shockmuzik (I)", a collection of original compositions written for 'SHOCKMUZIK' live audiovisual performance that took place during Brighton University's Graduate Show. Mix of sound design, deconstructed club music, post-witch, laser-like drum arrangements, all mixed into a heavy cocktail of unique sonic experience. Because it's a concept project (of sorts), it's probably best enjoyed in one sitting.

Buy "Shockmuzik (I)" here, and stream it in full below.

Vascha - Magna Cvnta ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ Slow Trip

Vascha's "Magna Cvnta" EP came out end of December and sort of slipped through my cracks. His remixed, or more precisely dragged version of this project landed on Soundcloud a few days ago, and you can check it out above. Who doesn't like to drift through life at 33 1/3 revolutions per minute? Dope. Stream on SC here.

Vascha - Ghosttown

Latest hyperpop meets decoclub offering from Brighton's Vascha, channelling Yen Tech vibe and slapping some sick drum work on top. Very catchy stuff, check it out above and buy here.

Vascha - Fairplay

T

Hyper-future-rave-pop from Vascha, new single "Fairplay" comes with two remixes from London-based Sissy Misfit. No-rules bangers for gen mutant. The "Rain" remix is my fav here. Cop here.

Vascha - Visions Of Hereafter (I)

Negative Gain Productions brings us new EP from VASCHA today. "Visions Of Hereafter (I)" is packed with four hyperclub, futuristic bass/pop mutations that bring to mind post-internet productions from Yen Tech or #HDBOYZ (who remembers them?!). Totally rad hardcore rave music from 2099. "Terrestrial Paradise" is just incredible, and both featurings from il-bambolina and I Am Fya add just enough extra spice to make this EP wholesome listening experience for all the deconstructed kids.

Buy it on Bandcamp here, and stream below.

Vascha - Terrestrial Paradise

Vascha is back with a new single for Chi-town based label Negative Gain Productions. Deconstructed club/hardcore banger with a pop-appeal in the vein of DIS Magazine mixtapes from 2010s. Love it! Download here.

VASHA - Angel Of Peace

New hyperpop single from VASCHA, channeling some of that Sophie club glam. I'm not a fan of the genre, but this track is well executed. Cop it here.

Vascha - Tears 2 My Eyes / Crashing

New Scenery is a relatively new label from London focusing on promoting womxn, non- binary and LGBTQ+ artists. Their latest release, "Tears 2 My Eyes / Crashing" EP, comes from Brighton-based Vascha, and it's a 3-track blend of deconstructed club beats and liquid hyperpop charm, all wrapped up in a package with an EDM appeal. All the tracks also manage to conjure this slightly cold, unsettling, witchy vibe - in particular "Tears 2 My Eyes". Think of Hudson Mohawke, but on steroids and wrapped in a razor-wire.

The EP is out today and you can buy it here, alongside a zine that goes with the release. Alternatively you can stream it below.
