Various - Beyond The Body

In celebration of WITCH-HOUSE.com's 15th anniversary, I released a new compilation titled "Beyond The Body", with tracks inspired by body horror movies. This latest release is a testament to the spirit and diversity of the witch house genre. The project features an incredible and eclectic lineup of artists - Ghost Mirror, Writhing, Tenderness of Wolves, Ourobonic Plague, Silence Embrace, Humanfobia, STRFLL, Cosmic Wildling, Voidscan, Zazie Productions, Textbeak, Skøgen, I††, MORGVE, ßęđŧīmĕ Šŧōŗĩėş, and Marth Daul - each contributing uniquely unsettling and atmospheric tracks, spanning a wide range of styles. With witch house at its core, the compilation pulses with elements of dark ambient, ghost drone, industrial, and noise, pushing the boundaries of experimental sound and genre fusion.

Tenderness Of Wolves - The End Of Sadness

It's been two years since we last heard from Tenderness Of Wolves. October saw the release of their single "Cost of Living" (which I missed out on at the time), and today we got the second new track "The End Of Sadness". Slower, menacing witch-house meets atmospheric, occult trip-hop. Really great stuff, I hope this is a sign of something bigger coming up! Grab the track here.

Tenderness Of Wolves - Colours

The debut EP from Tenderness Of Wolves has finally landed. "Colours" consists of 8 horror-themed landscapes, which while rooted in the old school witch-house approach, manage to defy categorisation by the genre's modern standards. Dark ambient is mixed with obscure occult samples, while harrowing drones pave the way for cold synths and sparse beats. A few of the tracks should be already well known to anyone who followed the group for a while, but there are some unexpected (and most welcome) additions. "Devil (Pandaemonium)" gets an omnious d'n'b treatment, while "Anatomy of Dub" is a slowly burning and stripped down remix of "Anatomy of Terror". Overall, I must admit this is one of the best witchy releases I've heard so far this year and a must-buy for the next Bandcamp day for sure.

You can buy "Colours" here, and stream it in all its glory below.

Tenderness Of Wolves - Death | Devil

British dark/occult electronic duo Tenderness of Wolves have just released a Halloween special double A-side single, that heralds the arrival of their debut LP "Atra Mors" next year. Both tracks were originally part of the "MMXX" demo, but on "Death | Devil" have been given a revamp, fleshing out their gloomy take on witch music. "Death" is a ghostly dirge, a slow-moving dark ambient funeral procession escorted by sombre keys and melancholic gospel vocals, leading the listener in a trance-like state to the "Devil". Track two amps up the tempo with its pulsating throbs and brooding synths, supported by an angelic choir in the background. Fans of early releases from V▲LH▲LL and ∆AIMON (as well as The Banks Brothers' "He’ll Roll Your Burdens Away") pay attention.

You can buy the single here, and stream it after the jump.
