Filmy Ghost - Golden Age Of Netlabels

Image

Mutant Zones mix series returns with a tribute mixtape from Humanfobia's founder, producer, visual artist and curator Sabila Orbe, aka Filmy Ghost. The Chilean underground powerhouse has prepared a mixtape dedicated to a unique era in Internet history - a time when netlabels reigned over the online landscape and challenged ideas of collaboration, copyright and ownership. "Golden Age of Netlabels" is a 25-minute journey, told through songs from artists who were part of that movement between 2006 and 2010. Download and stream the mix here.

Voodoo Crystals - IAMNOTAPHEXTWIN

Image

"IAMNOTAPHEXTWIN" - the genre-blending alien mixtape from Voodoo Crystals heralds the return of the Mutant Zones mix series! After the amazing first volume from STRFLL last year, I'm happy to present the second installment, curated and compiled by Voodoo Crystals. His selection is as unorthodox as his music, spanning styles, decades and tempos. Fantastic listen from start to finish, and like STRFLL's tape - free to download from Soundcloud. Mutant Zones interview: STRFLL

Image

STRFLL is easily one of the most exciting new (witch) wave producers out there right now. Watching her progress from the 2022 "Insanity Era" tapes to her totally radical (and ongoing) "Was It All Worth It" series has been rewarding as hell, so it's an absolute pleasure to interview her for Mutant Zones. We dive deep into her creative upbringing and current influences, as well as discuss the upcoming album and plans for the future. On top of all that, STRFLL has made us an exclusive mixtape entitled "Southern /Dis/comfort", it will melt your face, it's that good! You can stream it below and download it directly from our new Soundcloud page. Strap in and enjoy!
